Blur-Sharpen Tools 4.x Technical Support FAQs -- [Windows, for Premiere Pro and After Effects]

1. The serial number that you sent me does not work. Most commonly, check to make sure you run the installer that matches your purchase. Note that your serial number will only work for the video editing software and OS you purchased for - other versions cannot be installed. Windows versions do not accept macOS serials. If there is still a problem after trying again, please contact us and we will solve it for you right away.


2. How do I uninstall Blur-Sharpen Tools?
Run Add or Uninstall Plugins from Start > Pixelan FX for Adobe menu, select Add or remove components, uncheck Blur-Sharpen Tools and click Next. To uninstall all plugins select Remove all components and click Next. Or use your Windows control panel to uninstall.

3. How do I activate Blur-Sharpen Tools?
Run  Activate Plugins app from your Start > Pixelan FXfor Adobe menu, enter your serial number or license key and click Activate button. Then re-start your video editing program.


4. I see a black screen (or other odd results) in my preview... how do I fix that? Blur-Sharpen Tools are hardware-accelerated plugins and use your computer's video/graphics chip to accelerate its rendering. Even if you have a compatible card, a small percentage of users may see unexpected results (such as black output) when applying Blur-Sharpen Tools. In that case, please follow these steps:
a. Run our small Pixelan FX Controller app located in your Start > Pixelan FX for Adobe menu and click Render Controller tab.
b. Use the Default renderer menu at the top to switch the render engine to a different renderer and click Apply changes button. Then re-start your video editing program to see if the problem is solved.
c. If there is still a problem, please return to the Pixelan FX Controller app and click the Export Text Report button at its bottom. Then please contact us about the problem and paste the exported text into our contact form.
