Which video editing software is SpiceMaster available* for?

• Adobe Premiere Pro/Elements version: Compatible with Windows versions of Premiere Pro CS6 or CC Creative Cloud and Premiere Elements 13 or later.

• Adobe After Effects version: Compatible with Windows versions of After Effects CS6, or CC Creative Cloud versions.
• Adobe Premiere Pro/After Effects version: Compatible with macOS (High Sierra and later) versions of Premiere Pro CC 2017 or later and After Effects CC 2017 or later.

• Vegas Pro/Vegas Movie Studio version: Compatible with Vegas Pro 13, or later (64-bit) and Vegas Movie Studio Platinum/Suite 13 or later (64-bit).

• CyberLink PowerDirector version: Compatible with PowerDirector 14 or later (64-bit, WINDOWS only).

• Magix Movie Edit Pro/Video Pro X version: Compatible with Movie Edit Pro 18 or later (64-bit) and Video Pro X4 or later (64-bit).

*If your system not meet these requirements you can use the earlier SpiceMaster version (compatible with older operating systems and 32-bit video editing software) until you upgrade your OS or video-editing program. Available for WINDOWS Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 or later and Premiere Elements 11.0 or later, Vegas Pro/Vegas Movie Studio 9 or later, CyberLink PowerDirector 12 or later, Magix Movie Edit Pro 2013 (or later) and Video Edit Pro X4 (or later).

Does SpiceMaster have special hardware requirements?

SpiceMaster is a hardware-accelerated plugin which uses your computer's video/graphics chip to accelerate its rendering. Therefore, a DirectX 9 or OpenGL 2.1 compatible graphics card is required (almost any chip released in the last 10 years will work). A DirectX 10 or OpenGL 3.2 compatible card with at least 1GB video memory is recommended for HD and high bit-depth editing. Even if you know you have a compatible card, we highly recommend you take a moment to download and try the SpiceMaster DEMO before buying.

The earlier SpiceMaster 2.5 is compatible with any WINDOWS hardware (from XP through Windows 10) that runs the above video editing software.

How is the DEMO different than the purchased version?

The demo overlays an X on the plugin’s output. Upon purchasing, the X will disappear. There will be no need to re-apply SpiceMaster 3 in your project, saving you time.

I have hundreds of transitions, most of which I do not use. Why would I want SpiceMaster?
SpiceMaster's transitions are uniquely soft/organic AND fully customizable -- thus subtle, beautiful and tailored to your visuals, unlike the usual hard-edged standard transitions in your video editing software. SpiceMaster's transitions are therefore much more USEFUL. Also, SpiceMaster does more than transitions. SpiceMaster animates any OTHER effects in your video editing system, such as color changes, blurs, etc. within a single clip's scene -- greatly multiplying the creative power of your other video effects. The PRO version also includes the amazing MIXER for beautiful directional dissolves, and soft/organic looks for picture-in-picture effects (PIPs) and title effects.

 

I own SpiceMaster 2.5 now. How can I upgrade to SpiceMaster 3 Pro?
Please visit our upgrade page. You are eligible for a free upgrade if you bought SpiceMaster 2.5 PRO from us or authorized resseler after September 2017. Use our re-download form to get your FREE SpiceMaster 3 Pro upgrade. Note: Email receipt of your SpiceMaster 2.5 PRO purchase will be required if SpiceMaster 2.5 PRO was not purchased directly from us.

Is SpiceMaster only a download?

Yes, it is a single 5-50MB download. You can even download it on a different computer, if necessary, then transfer the installer file with a USB key, CD-R, or other media onto your editing computer before installing.

What happens if someday my computer crashes and I lose the downloaded file or serial number?

Use our handy re-download form to get a FREE re-download anytime. There is no risk! :)

Can I install on more than one computer of mine?

Our license allows use in two different computers by the same user (such as a laptop "for the road" and a desktop at home) IF the two computers are not used AT THE SAME TIME. To edit on two computers simultaneously, such as for a video production business, a HALF-price second license is available from us on our upgrade form.

Do you have educational pricing?

We offer nice discounts on school site or lab licenses. If you have such a situation, please contact us and mention how many editing stations you may want to purchase for.

What is your return policy?

Most plugin companies insist downloadable products may not be returned under any circumstances. After all, there is nothing tangible to 'return'. At Pixelan, your happiness and satisfaction is very important to us and we treat you as a long-term relationship, not as a one-time buyer. Therefore, if you somehow become unhappy with your purchase within 10 days, we will do our best to resolve it to your satisfaction. Your best protection is to be proactive -- to download and try the SpiceMaster DEMO before buying to see if this plugin will meet your creative needs and its hardware-acceleration is compatible with your computer. The demo is easy to install and is identical to the purchased version but shows an X over its output. Installing your purchase will automatically remove the X and uninstall the demo, or you can manually remove the demo anytime via your Windows control panel.

I feel uncomfortable purchasing on the Internet. Can I buy by phone?

Sorry, no. But please be reassured by the following: our customers have ordered online from us for many years and there has never ever been any problem of any type. We have been in business for 20+ years and are one of the longest-established visual effects plugin companies in the world. Our order pages are fully secure using all the latest web technologies. And your payment information (if paying by Paypal) is not even held by us, or (if paying by credit/debit card on our upgrade or special order forms) is held by us for only 30 days then discarded.
